Allright m8s how are you all doing, Fine i hope. I am just starting out in programming. I am currently working my way through Visual Basic 6.
What books do you recommend for programming your own games.
What are the best Visual Basic magazines to subscribe to and are the magazines helpful with hints and tips.
Any help or information recieved would be a big help thanks for your time and help it is very much appreciated.

there's a good forum for vb games programming at http://www.visualbasicforum.com
I completed a games programming unit on the final year of my degree, but that was using a direct x shell already created by the tutor and in C++. If you want the lectures, shell, course work, etc I can zip them up and email them, it's only a 2D game you write but it gives you the general idea behind blitting, flipping, buffering etc.
You'd be better off learning how to games program in C++ anyway as it's the industry standard.
