free sms's
is it possible to send free sms from your own phone as you can change the message centre number. someone somewhere must be able to do it. or are bt cellnet the only ones (or Genie) (or o2) that can do it as i read somewhere that bt claimed the rights to sending text messages so they make money out of it no matter who sends a text message??? or is that arse about face.

there are sometimes some foreign (normally eastern) or at least htere used to be some SMS centre numbers that worked for free SMS. However, they were slow, unreliable, and soon blocked by your network/ they blocked you themselves. If you really want to send texts get an orange out here pack or a genie phone/sim.
