My remote control has just stopped working, but what it's doing is weird. When I press a button the light lights up at the front. I can control the TV with it fine but it just won't work with the Digibox. However, if I reboot the box then the remote does start working again, albeit intermittently. I have replaced the batteries just in case but this has made no difference. Has anyone seen this before? Does it mean trying to get a new Digibox?
I've managed to fix it but it was weird. I worked out that it all works OK until I plug the scart from the video into the digibox. At this point the Sky remote stops working. I then started faffing with the video and discovered that if the audio leads that go from the video to the amp are plugged in, the the Sky remote doesn't work. How weird is that? So I swapped the audio leads to a different video channel on the amp and no everything is working again. I can't explain why this fixes everything and I can't explain why it suddenly went wrong in the first place. Anyway, it's all working again now, so ignore this thread!
