a bit blurred mate, good effort given the conditions
Re: more gig pics - kry0genic do your worst
I like the grainy blurred feel to the pictures (third one esp) ,i would have preferred them a little lighter (punched the iso /white balance up slightly) so the drummer wasnt so blacked out ,might be an idea to bracket them next time .

Thanks for the comments guys, next time I`ll make sure they get me somewhere closer than where I was to shoot at, was bloody torture!
Heres another couple I think turned out a bit better

Work on that tidying up though.
Settle for losing some detail to gain elsewhere.
Like below - there's so much noise you're not going to save the drummer's boat anyway, so filter the noise a bit and save other bit of the photo. You'll get some blurring, but with a bit of tweaking/cropping you'll soon learn that you will seldom have a full shot with everything perfect without a decent long lens and good lighting. That's not your fault or avoidable so don't be afraid to crop or even clone bad parts out. Resize the buggers too! You'll see less noise. Mess with the colours (Lightroom is very good for this) and try and make a shot look like you think it should look like. You want people (fans) to look at the subject and think 'wow, they look good', and that's a good photo', not be looking at the quality of the photo first.
The second edit is far from perfect but you can see what I mean by what you can achieve with some tweaking. But yeah, nice one. Do more gigs - practice is the best.
Good eye on that last one. :)
Thanks mate! I know i need to spend more time on the post processing to get them as tidy as possible, at elast i know my pics are getting better anyway :) a lot of practice shooting night scenes and playing with exp and brightness levels in PS on really dark pictures helped a lot, which is a tip I thank you for!
I have resized the pictures for my iphone and shown them to my mate and he`s more than happy with the pics, so I think i will shrink the size of them down, most are only going on their website, some will be getting used in their album, so i will pick the best and do the most work on them
thanks again mate!
