As the World Dies Trilogy by Rhiannon Frater
I dont often do book reviews, but I thought I would have to recommend this trilogy. For those of you who are a fan of the zombie genre, this is some of the best reading I have done. Told from the perspective of 2 woman, Katie and Jenny. Katie a bisexual, former prosecutor, and Jenny, a woman trapped in an abusive marriage. The two meet as the virus spreads, and end up in a remote walled off town somewhere in Texas. The three books describe their journey, from when they first meet, right up until the end. Its not your typical zombie slash fest, although there are a good few gorys bits in it.
There is also a hint of the supernatural, I know this sounds cheesy and at first I was put off when I read it - but the author manages to fit it in really well with the theme of the story. I won't go into detail. The story focuses heavily on the relationship of the survivors, and the people they meet along the way.

Holy crap Goose - wipe your vagina princess ;)
To be honest i love reading the genre (Jonathan Mayberry has done some outstanding novels) but this premise sounds dire. Do they talk about period pains or more importantly do they get it on together?

Haha no. The whole abusive marriage / lesbo shit isn't a big part of it. It's all about then building a wall and reclaiming a former Texas town and all the gore inbetween
Seriously it's a good read
