Chipping in the uk (legality)

Just had it confirmed that i am going to be getting all my chipping gear and chips back from a TS raid that happened not so long back....
TS were trying to build a test case against ps2 chipping so they could outlaw it...
fortunately for me i had mark jackson of tuckers solicitors on my side:)
the legal side of things hinged around whether sony could get the courts to accept the fact that ps2 was a computer not a console...if they were succcesful then i would of been prosecuted under computer misuse act...unfortunately for them they couldn't :)
and thus chipping is now legal in our merry land:)
So stride forth and make some cash lads:)
If anyone needs any help with any ongoing TS cases then give mark jackson a shout

But al the others aren't :)

A company here in Wales got screwed by sony nearl a years ago now.

They were a great company to deal with, fast , reliable and just all round good ppl.

I read in 'indie' magazine a brief statement that the government was in the process of making all modchipping illegal, so that it would be a criminal offence, rather than a civil matter as it is now.
