trying to update

im trying to update an old tt go 520 and have updated navcore to 9.510 , the map for this is in 2 parts , do i put them onto device in 2 separate folders or put them in one folder on pc , then transfer them to device as one folder ? Also what do i do with the me ta code ? do i just copy it from Russell ! post then put it in a folder and transfer it to the device ? i have tried to install latest me ta using various tools but when i try to activate the map ( maps , as i have put it in the two folders to start with ) , it wont actvate and says to check me ta . thanks for any help .

I suggest instead of trying to update you try and read your welcome message and then you try to find the introduction section before you try to leech or you may find that this isnt the place for you.

Russ is definitely the man for this, but I'm pretty sure this would have been answered before on the board, especially within the last 11yrs.

im using BBS tools and when i try to activate the map on the device , it says it cant be activated "check that you have an updated me ta txt " . im following an old guide from Russell , it doesnt mention anything about me ta txt in the guide . so dont know what to do with the me ta txt . thanks for any help

Wow, really is 2006.

Usually these days when u download maps for these older units they come with the activation guide and relevant tools. Might be worth downloaded from somewhere else or ask whoever provided the maps.

Leave the maps in the maps folder and copy to root of the sat nav with the navcore...speedcams in the map folder and unlock
