This was my first attempt at home cinema/av.I made this av rack from some ally box section and I milled out the slots for the 10mm acrylic sheet which I had rounded off and polished.(Rack is currently residing in my man shed gathering dust;) )

I have a few more pics of it being installed if anyone is interested(rack is currently residing in my man shed gathering dust!)
Then I made this 'floating wall' in the front room, again I have pics of the install if anyone is interested

Sitting looking at the jungle of cables I have...some cracking setups :)
Re: Post your home cinema/av setup pics here - 20/10/07
I still have a jungle of cables but they are all hidden behind the units, the cupboards are full of kids toys lol. I have left the shelf on my TV wall loose so I can always get to the HDMi cable etc should I need to change it for any reason. I also have some mood lighting that lights up behind the TV but its hard to get a decent picture of them on to give the full effect. Thanks for your kind comments was well worth the effort, never attempted anything on this scale before, just put up the odd shelf etc. I had some help with the plasterboarding from my brother in law and got someone in to plaster but the rest I done myself.

My loft conversion has been my dumping ground for any of my crap for the last year. A few weeks ago I got a projector which spurred me into actually doing something with my spare room.
Firstly I had to clear all my crap, here it all is before it went down the tip:

I didn't want a pull down screen and wanted it to be portable in case I want to use it in the garden so I got an 82inch Optoma pull up screen.

Up and running, Brian likes it:

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c4...psdozjyqwz.jpg
Added glass stand, Xbox one, PC for Plex/Kodi, PC for gaming and work, Yamaha AV amp, TP link switch.

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c4...ps5mnceap4.jpg
Added some colour with a hue light strip.

More colour

I've also added some leather sofas and moved my server and Drobo to the back of the room:

Next on the list of things to do to this room:
Tidy the rest of the crap.
Clean (for all those that spotted the glass stand was filthy)
Organise the wires
Air conditioning - Being the top floor it gets hot in the room.
Decorate - remove wallpaper and paint a neutral colour.
Find a permenant spot for Brian, Quagmire and the Minions.

Mines been slimmed down somewhat.
Just need the basics for my small place.
Wonky shelf at the bottom because it literally got bashed 10 minutes ago.
Todo:
Conduit for cables.

Got this working this evening:

There is a radiator behind the screen and the hue lightstrip is just draped over it between the fins.

Re: Post your home cinema/av setup pics here
If the radiators on won't the heat cause the screen to ripple/wobble slightly?

Not sure, Hue lights are controllable. Wouldn't know how you integrate anything else. If you have Hue the app I used is called Hue Immersive

Here's mine. Work in progress, cables to hide and the TV needs mounting to the wall. Like Beerman, I'm using Philips Hue. Two Bloom lights behind the TV and a light strip below the bottom units. The plan is to add another light strip to the top units and some down lights below them.
