My m8 has just traded his CBR 600 for a 748,
strange thing is on paper the 748 seems lower BHP (possibly slower than the CBR) please could any one confirm which is the quickest / best Machine as I think the differences in terms of performance are marginal at best and not worth all the extra expense.
please help me out with this interesting question as I'm a noob with bikes TIA..
cbr 600 is the better bike to live with / maintain.
748's are very expensive to run and are very uncomfortable to ride for any length of time.
dukes dont need the extra power 'cos they go round corners a lot faster and have a smoother and steeper power curve
Which version of CBR 6 is it?

It was a 'S' Reg CBR 600 F if i remember rightly.
depend on how fat he is if he eats lard and cream puff all day he wont matter what is the fasters bike out of the 2 they both be slow as a c90
