looking for some help.
Theres a large footer at the bottom which has an about and contact details in. How the hell do i get rid of it??
googling for ages can seem to find out.

This is likely gonna need hack1ng in the template (usually found called footer.php or footer.tpl) somewhere.
It'll be a call for a page part in the template files and you should be able to simply remove the line. Need more info to go on really. All templates can be different. Some Wordpress templates do not make it obvious either.

Yeah i solved it. i did edit the op to say it was in the widgets. I thought id looked in there a couple of times but when i looked again i found it.
