Apparently this is mould!
Back in November I opened a packet of Asda microwave rice and cooked it.
When I poured out the contents this is what faced me.
now Asda claims they have investigated and it is mould.
Fuck off asda that's meat probably a mouse or something!
theres pink meat type product and then there was a almost fur like piece which isn't in the pictures but let's just say the smell was absolutely foul.
im really pissed off that Asda are claiming this is mould I have never seen pink mould that looks like meat!

If you are on twitter please retweet my last tweet about this as Asda are being assholes about it.

That is not fucking mould.
Must be packed in some dirty sweatshop somewhere. Looks like a dehydrated foreskin.

No stupidly we didn't :(
Re: Apparently this is mould!
Uncle Ben would never of allowed that!
On a serious note BB posted the perfect answer, if you did save half then even threatening Asda with unwanted publicity might get them bending over backwards to compensate you.
Re: Apparently this is mould!
It's shit form on Asda's part with such an obvious lie.
Surely it makes sense for them to apologize and bung someone a £50 voucher than risk the potential fallout.

Unfortunately it's common practice for them to ask you for all the contents and packaging 'so they can investigate' then return with a result that suits them best and once they have it all it's hard to dispute findings, I got caught out in a similar way about 30 years ago and never again since.

Oddly enough ugh we had a similar incident a year or so ago with uncle bens rice.
came out the microwave almost on fire and when I opened it the whole bag of rice was green!
im not a lazy person but microwave rice is so convenient it's great but now we don't even entertain it.

Generally we use a microwaveable container for normal rice but usually Uncle Bens if it's for just one serving....... going to be looking closer at the rice now, never had any issues myself before.
Re: Apparently this is mould!
If this happens to others in the future, do not go direct to the manufacturer - go to your local authority Health and Safety Team - they will do all the tests in conjunction with the manufacturer and you'll get a nice hamper or a good amount of vouchers. The technical data is provided to the H&S team to analyse - they get access to schematics of machinery at the factory and will not be soft-soaked with bullcrap.
