Re: Tynemouth Long Exposures
Great shots mate, very impressive.
Re: Tynemouth Long Exposures
Love the sky on the first one :)

I could see on camera those were going to be crackers... Love that filter mate!
I wouldn't worry about posting similar shots, none of mine were any good really so I think I'll refrain from sharing. May stick a few of the bridge shots up later.

Anyway, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Neo and Bodman this weekend just gone.
Arranged to go up to Newcastle to meet up and also visit family members. Unfortunately, our very first "longer" trip out with the little'un and we weren't prepared for how mucgh extra it would add onto your journey what with bum changes and feeds :)
Plus we had a big home cooked meal waiting for us when we arrived so poor Neo and Bodman ended up waiting a significant amount of time. However they were very understanding :) - thanks guys :)
So, I have a number of images that were taken whilst out and about with Neo and Bod. I haven't had a massive amount of time to sort them as I've been straight back into work on lates and before work has been dedicated to getting christmas stuff all sorted etc.
However, here are a couple of exposuresI took in the afternoon behind St. Mary's lighthouse at Whitley Bay
The first one, I've really gone for a surrealistic look (cos I wanted to :D) and the second one, I believe was crying out for a B/W conversion :)
I'll post the rest once Neo's posted his because as frequently happens on shoots, a few images are similar :)
90 Second exposure at F14, ISO100 using the ND-110 ten stop filter.

Its 3 minutes of sea movement.... Great effect
Re: Tynemouth Long Exposures
Thanks all. :)
I was very pleased that there was no visible camera shake in the shots, the wind down there was mad and I could SEE my camera shaking. I guess super long daytime exposures reduce the effect of camera shake. :)
Re: Tynemouth Long Exposures
Great shot but I am confused to where you mean. St Mary's lighthouse is in Whitley Bay and not Tynemouth as you said, but St Mary's lighthouse looks like this.

Re-read my post :)
The clues are in the EDIT bit and the "Behind St. Marys Lighthouse" bit ;)
Yeah, I made an error in the main title, I'd seen a sign for Tynemouth or recall Neo mentioning something and accidentally put that in the title. I should have put Whitley Bay instead but I made amendments to my post.
Thanks for the compliment of as well :)
Re: Tynemouth Long Exposures
I missed that. It's funny, I have never seen that before behind the lighthouse and have been there loads of times but I have never actually gone over to the lighthouse. I have just looked a a photo I took today from a few miles further up the coast and zoomed in and there it is. :D
You learn something new every day. Thanks!
