Cannot delete files that apprently do not exist but are showing (iplayer).
While doing some tidying on my PC i found two lots of iplayer folders. One was clearly old (2010 files). So I viewed all my current videos (in case) and un-installed iplayer. This folder still stayed.
I deleted the folder, ran ccleaner and restarted.
This folder is still present, my HD free space has not changed.
When I search iplayer, i still find these files, however, if i choose open file location, they are not there.
This is a lot of space I can do with recovering. Does anyone have any advice/help/pointers?
Win Vista. Intel Centrino2.
File string - C;\users\Media\Documents\My Videos\BBC iplayer\repository
Thanks in advance.

Try Unlocker v1.8.6 which usually shifts persistent files/folders. Don't get versions above v1.8.6 as they insist on installing ad-supported shite to your system.

I will certainly give that a go when i get home.
The strange thing is, since a reboot over night, the files come up in the search, but the folder does not exist and when you try and open them they say do not exist and also now show as no file size. But why are they still appearing in the search?
Taken to just viewing online streaming now and wont download anything anymore.
THanks for that app, will try it and see. Might be a good thing for anything in the future.

When ever I have a problem like this, it's easier to boot into safe mode then delete the file, if it still stays make DOS boot drive on USB stick & remove from dos.
