Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
I am after an amiga 1200, id even consider non working ones, parts or accessories as I want to do out a retro room for amiga 1200 stuff.
I realise they are selling for silly money on ebay but I'm asking for myself, not to sell on and make a profit on I will be keeping it for myself.
I do have emulators and every single amiga game ever released on a bluray disc but its not the same.
thanks lads.
if I remember rightly as I'm wanting something I don't need the date/time stamp
cheers lads

Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
I remember saving all my pennies back in the day ready for launch day. Standing outside my local nerd shop waiting for it to open.
Fantastic machines the 1200. So sad they went bust.
Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
Tell me about it mate I save for ages for the 1200, they were very underrated those machines and I enjoyed every minute of mine, I programmed a speech emulator and a kids painting program called kids paint. all done in amos. I could not even clear a screen these days (oh wait CLS!)
Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please

Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
Off the top of my head weren't they about £180 brand new back in the day.
Edit: fuck me a quick google shows it launched at £399. I did well saving up that :-) I think my old man paid half from memory.
Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
Back in the day I paid £399 for my Amiga 500 on launch day and then went back the next day for the 512MB upgrade @ £99. Then spent the day messing around with Amiga Paint and gawping at Marble Madness.

If I remember correctly, it was a Newtek Video Toaster board that did the magic, but these could only be used in higher end Amigas.

Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
If we're gonna hijack it, lets do it proper.
My Commodore 64 is better than your speccy dot-crawl shit.
Also, which was better - BASF-90's or TDK-Chrome SAX-90's?

I thought they used Amiga 2000's and a Fusion 40 accelerator + Toaster?
Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
Who had a Spectrum. My first ever bit of kit was a ZX Spectrum 48k with rubber keys.
Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
Ti-99/4A >> ZX80 >> ZX81+RAM Pack >> VIC-20
Then my golden era of Atari 800XL + Happy drive and C64 + 1541 drive both hooked up to a Philips CM8833 monitor. I'll never forget opening the post one morning to find 2 discs labelled 'Ballblaster' and 'Behind Jaggi Lines' - I didn't leave the room in days..
Although I was jealous of Speccy users for having Lunar Jetman and Atic Atac. When they first come out I remember just standing in WHSmiths for hours looking at those 2.
Re: Amiga 1200 Wanted - no silly prices please
ya set of cunts lol, yeah hijack it to shit as long as the original message stays I'm fine.
btw my first ever computer was the commodore plus 4
then commodore 64
then amiga 500
then amiga 1200
then playstion, sega Saturn, dreamcast
and then pc which I love to this day.
