Re: Help with a new handset
Im in a dilemma also mate i like the iphone interface as you say. its slick easy to use etc
Re: Help with a new handset
So how has this progressed Kev ?
Re: Help with a new handset
It hasn't! I narrowed it down to the iPhone or the X1, but I can't find an X1 to play with, and with it being windows mobile I need to play. I reckon it will be an iPhone just after xmas tbh, if I plug it into my laptop I can not connect it to the netowkr drive the music is on, so should be ok with iTunes and shit :D
Re: Help with a new handset
Out of curiosity mate, why did you decide against the storm... I am in exactly the same dilema..
Re: Help with a new handset
I've got an x1 and it's a nice phone it all depends really what your wanting out of a phone as it's more pda based than phone.
windows mobile runs much better on this than it does on my axim x50v by the way and i haven't had to do a reset since i got it which is nice.
Oh and the charger is a mini usb lead plugged into an mains adapter.

Thats put me off the touch.
Another thread said the X1 was shit on battery life.
BOYYAKKA says it shit for texting.
The N96 also seems dogged with problems.
Only safe bet from what I can see is an Iphone.

it all seems too businessy for me, and I want a phone for fun! I have no need to connect into an Exchange server or anything like that, but thats about it. I guess what I basically am after is a gadget, not a tool.

I'm loving mu touch hd :)..it depends what you want to do with your phone? The internet browsing on the touch is fab due to the screen and resolution. I do miss not having a keyboard..but its manageable :)

I charge my phones every night anyway so i've not really noticed plus you can charge it via usb so it's convenient in that way.
As for texting i quite like the way it's set out for texting it's like a log of your conversation so your inbox only has the one entry by each person not like 500 texts with half of them by the same person. The keyboard is nice to use but i must admit it does take getting used to typing out texts as opposed to using predictive texting, but once your used to it it's fine.

I had a play with my bro in laws iphone and it was nice, but i wanted something different maybe the fact that i've got an ipod touch kind of swayed me because they are so similar but i don't regret getting my x1 at all.
