Finally taken the plunge and bought myself a 360.... :)
Which Arcade games do I need to buy? Braid has good reviews.
Anything else? Did that Goldeneye conversion ever materialise?
....oh....how do I get the arcade points?

Best way to buy them is through tesco Jersey or similar, they used to come up for about £12 for 2100 points but are now about £14.
I don't know what sort of games you're into but texas hold em is good to pass the time & n+ is a decent puzzle game. If you fancy a shoot em up a bit like silkworm then download the demo of heavy weapon, it goes on for a long time & I still play it from time to time and is free :). Worms is a good game to play against friends, I like uno for a chilled out game.
There is plenty of games. Uno, Street fighet hd, worms, duke nukem, braid, metor wars, portal you name it loads :)

I recommend this thread ^^^^^
:)
Sweet. I played N+ on my PSP, and Portal on the PC - great games :)
Is there a cheapo way to buy these points via e-mail or something....or is it play/amazon?
uno is a good one for a chill out game, texas holdem isnt available to download anymore i was going to but it was gone :(
i ended up downloading the arcade pack game (xboxl reloaded game) to get the holdem as my mates play it on there.
worms is on there, not a fan myself but loads like that.
tbh the only one that does get played by me is uno and thats when everyone on my list goes offline and i cant be arsed playing gears with yanks.:whistling
i usally get mine on ebay but i always send an email 1st to see how quick they respond but i think a lot of them are auto as soon as payment is made m8
Cheers all....
Sorry, one other question ;)
I've only bought an arcade...so am I screwed till I buy a hard drive, or are these games tiny?
you do need somewhere to store the games but they are not huge, i would invest in a hard drive, ebay is your best bet for a 20 gig second hand job nice and cheap. hd also needed for game saves ect...
Don't buy uno mate buy the orange box it's much better value. Well I just looked it up on shopto.net where I bought it a couple of months ago for £12 & now it's £14.98. I mainly say it's better value because portal off xbla is 1200 points (I think) & has only a few new levels. Something to consider anyway :)
They are doing an upgrade scheme now for owners of xbox arcade consoles:

You can get a 20GB HDD for £12.99, that should get you started :)
Sweeeet! Thanks
Braid, SWOS, Geometry Wars 2 and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.
