Bricked PS3
Hey all,
I've not been around much lately thanks to work however recently lost my job and dusted off my PS3. I've managed to brick the device (doing something I shouldnt) and believe the NAND is corrupt. Is it worth forking out the money to fix? or should I just dump the PS3. It's one of the original FAT one - came with Gran Turismo I think.

Re: Bricked PS3
I wouldn't bother fixing it mate, since getting my Xbone and PS4, whenever i go back to my PS3 it's just shit lol.

Re: Bricked PS3
the new exploit allows you to write to the nand so that custom firmware can be installed don't know if it can fix your issue but may be worth looking into.
I don't know how much it would cost you to get fixed but i would say your prob best buying a second hand one then paying to get it fixed

Re: Bricked PS3
To be honest I had forgotten that I had it lol. If I had an E3 flasher it appears I may be able to flash enough to get it to boot so I might look at that when I get some cash to get an e3.

Re: Bricked PS3
Haven't gotten around to sorting this. Don't suppose anyone has an E3 that I could borrow? :)

Re: Bricked PS3
Is that similar to the tweeny flashers? I remember buying one when geohot first released exploit so may have that somewhere

Re: Bricked PS3
I modded my ps3 slim last week using the new 4.82 exploit and love it . Got multiman running and a 1tb external drive hooked up
