iOS 9.21 - 9.3 safari/mail bug
This is pissing me off now... I had this bug/crash when i updated to iOS 9.21 where safari was playing up. I did something (there's numerous ideas) and it stopped. Now today, a good week or so after upgrading to 9.3, it's fucked again.Clicking links doesn't work, long press will crash safari.Tried clearing cache, turning off Java and also changing search engine. The latter helps a bit...Web is full of moaning Apple users and no real fix. I'm sure there was one, but I can't remember.Anyone else got this shit?DJ OD

Re: iOS 9.21 - 9.3 safari/mail bug
What type of device is it? I've not had these issues with my 6S, but have seen it on some older iPad Mini 2's. I think i also read that for some of the older devices that there would be a 9.3.1 update too.
Re: iOS 9.21 - 9.3 safari/mail bug
Its an iphone 6 mate. Missus has a 5s and didnt have the issue with the 9.21 or 9.3 upgrade...
Think it is getting worse as well as now i cant open df links. Had to use my tablet now to type this!
Whats annoying is i am in Prague and have been using google maps to get about and find places, now nothing is clcikable. Need to quality check (no pun intended) places. Usual stuff, restaurants, bars, strip joints...
Typical lol

Using Firefox makes browsing work, but TBH it's a shocking browser on mobile despite me using it on PC for years...

Re: iOS 9.21 - 9.3 safari/mail bug
DJ, have you the booking.com app installed? One of my guys on my team mentioned this was one of the causes.
Re: iOS 9.21 - 9.3 safari/mail bug
Yeah I did. Fuck knows why TBH. I uninstalled it at the first hint it may be a cause.
The actual cause is what was linked above. Apples new idea on 'universal links' is what broke the system. That and some sites/apps used up all the iOS allocated cache immediately. Booking.com being one of them.
I doubt it was a hard fix for Apple to make, just a bitter pill to swallow given the alleged amount of beta tests done on e iOS 9.3.
As I said in my OP, it's twice now I've been left with a phone without a limb albeit different causes.
This iFan is losing his fucking iNterest.
