Ghosts n goblins was the hardest game ever.
Currently I'm playing Speedball II and Descent 2 under DOSBOX and the open source version of Warzone 2100.
Descent 2, now that was an awesome game which deserves a remake for sure, wasn't that multiplayer as well?
Yes Descent 2 is online multiplayer as well.
Descent 2 was ported to Linux and Mac - http://icculus.org/d2x/
And the best! I'm a friggin' ninja at that game. Well, I can complete the arcade on about 3 or 4 credits anyway. (Incl 2nd round!)
I'm playing a lot of Super Mario World hacks at the moment, but as for what retro games am I playing? I think Portal2 is the only NON-retro game! (Unless Half-Life 2 and F.E.A.R are considered retro now? Surely not?)
Half way through Megaman 3 at the mo'.
Keep returning to Donkey Kong (US) on MAME, determined to improve my world ranking which is now 25th when I did reach 18th at one stage. Got a decent start last week, 175k on first life, then totaly lost the plot and finished on 210k. Pathetic.
tronads are the rankings your talking about the same ones from the King of Kong documentary.
I can't remember the name now, but remember looking at the leaderboards when I watched it.
Twin galaxies?
I've recently completed Conkers Bad Fur Day on N64 (never played it when it was released), currently playing MSR on Dreamcast and Ico on PS2..... loving Ico, another one I missed first time round.
been playing the original doom in 256 glorious colours, i am fookin loving it..
Yup, the very same. That film inspired me to go after some scores on games I used to be good at, though I only have only managed 2 world records, but they are on obscure games that no-one has really played....ie not much credibility compared to the big ones, the Donkey Kongs, Galaga's, Pacman's etc.
funny this thread got revived, I suddenly got the urge to play Rampart on the snes the other day, then found Pipedreams, classics. Shocked there isnt a remake of Rampart, not even on the iphone or anything
anybody seen the archos tab on sale at tesco for 42 pounds after discount
i think its the archos one
From your post I found the archos gamepad on Tesco for £52. Bloody bargain since I almost bought one for £100 a week ago !
Thanks for that, ordered.
Currently playing Castlevania on the NES (well Famicom) tough game!
Mr dos castle was fucking awesome !
I always wanted a tablet with game controls. To be honest the issues you mention stopped me buying one at £150 and £130, only just stopped me buying one at 100. I'm happy to pay £52 for it.
Found one in stock in my local Tesco actually, got it home, slid the sd card out of my wiz in and was playing starforce within minutes without stupid touch control.
I'm happy with it :-)
I remember being happy with it at the start as well but like I said the constant charging before use eventually got to me, I did look into replacing the battery with a decent one but never got round to it.
Maybe I'll look into it again seeing as that was my main gripe with it.
I'll have a play. See if I can get root and strip out any rubbish that may be pinching battery.
