GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.1 PUBLIC BETA AND DGPACKS
Posted on January 10, 2015
We would like to say thanks to our users for testing the public beta and reporting bugs.
We are still working through the feedback but so far we have already fixed the SPI Test bug in Diagnostics menu,
and released it as Gateway ULTRA 3.0.1, available in the Downloads section.
The downgrade packs have now also been added to the Downloads section, please download the proper dgpack for your region if you want to downgrade.
We want to caution users using the downgrade feature: it is a dangerous operation as it will write to sysnand and if something goes wrong it may brick your 3DS.
We currently recommend that ONLY USERS WITH A NAND MOD try this, and report back any issues.
If you want to restore your NAND.BIN from SD Card to sysnand, simply hold UP when entering the Downgrade menu will launch the restore menu.
This can be used to go back to your original NAND, such as before downgrading.
As always ENJOY!
GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0 – PUBLIC BETA
Posted on January 9, 2015
Today we are proud to present our latest achievement: GATEWAY ULTRA!
With GATEWAY ULTRA we support ALL 3DS/2DS/3DS XL consoles on sysnand firmware starting from 4.5 and all the way up to 9.2!
This release also contains an update for the Red Gateway card with:
– improved support for microSD cards
– faster write speeds
– and a surprise feature that will be announced in the next update!
As an extra bonus, we have added support for:
– DOWNGRADING your 5.0->9.2 console back to 4.5!
– RESTORING a NAND dump back to sysnand!
For users on firmware 4.5 or above, you can trigger the Gateway boot method by launching the Browser Application, and visiting the following site:
* http://go.gateway-3ds.com
Make sure the Launcher.dat file is placed on the big SD Card (internal to the 3DS console) when visiting the site.
The Launcher file can be found in the Downloads section [here], and downgrade packs for the different console regions will be added shortly!
We also have the following notes:
* It may be needed for some users to clear cookies and history in the Browser Application for proper activation.
* We also recommend that users bookmark this site for convenience.
* Support for New 3DS is still a work in progress, please be patient!
As always support the innovators not the imitators and ENJOY!
For anyone who doesnt know, current 3DS consoles you buy in the shops will probably have 9.0 firmware, or lower so are compatible with this new update, however if you already have a 3DS and have updated via wifi within the last few weeks, you will probably have a firmware higher than 9.2 (current version is 9.4)
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
Hi,
It's my lads 16th Birthday next week, and he (surprisingly) said tonight that he would like a 3DS XL.
Is the best route to go still to find a v4.5 firmware version and buy a Gateway Card, or as all this changed recently? I would sooner get him the best set up I can, so all info and advice greatly appreciated.
THANKS in advance.
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
Ordered a cheap 2ds from Tesco last night, is there a way that someone can provide me with details of a genuine red gateway card without breaking the rules please?

Try Tesco direct for cheap Ds deals at the moment, won't be the latest one but I don't think the flashcard works with that anywY?
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
Any 3DS XL can be downgraded with gateway as long as its not been updated beyond 9.4, and this is only possible via an online update within the last few weeks.
I'm not sure about the 2DS as I doubt they ever ran the 4.5 firmware, but any of the standard 3DS (including the XL) are fine.
Even if you update beyond 9.4, the Sky3DS card works on it, but offers significantly less features than the gateway.
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
I have only just read about the "New 3DS". 1) Is it better to get this version? 2) Do you know if it works fully with the Gateway?
Thanks

Looks like its the £99 Tesco deal for the 3DS XL then - THANKS for the info.
(Any recommendations for a reputable Gateway Source?)
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
3rd floor of the shoddy electronics tower down my road, they'll even fill a pen drive with roms too...
As for UK suppliers, I have no idea, but after Nintendo's tantrums a few years ago we're not to discuss suppliers on the open boards.
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
I'm looking to buy a N3DS XL so interested of course in getting some CFW on there to run ROMS.
Do any of you fine gents know the best way I can do this at the moment? I saw a thing called SKY3DS but fuck paying €72 for one.
Thanks :)
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
Any updates on which cart to get??
Re: Gateway Ultra 3 released for 3DS up to 9.2
The only easy way to get backups running is the SKY card, which is expensive but seems to work out of the box as long as you keep updating it with new titles.
If you can grab an older machine, I think anything running firmware 8 or less, can be hacked in some way to run games via a gateway.
There are a bunch of softmod methods but I am well out of the loop with them so I cant really comment, but from my gloss over of threads at gbatemp, it seems anything below firmware 8 has vulnerabilities.
The whole situation varies depending on what machine (or at least what firmware) you have.
