Out of date - Use Microsoft Toolkit 2.5.2
Interesting!
Here's the lowdown and linkage. Sticky'd this for time being
RemoveWAT 1.7 - The perfect activation solution for 7/R2 <hr style="color: rgb(209, 209, 225); background-color: rgb(209, 209, 225);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> WORKS ON ALL EDITIONS OF 7/R2!
IMPROVEMENTS SINCE 1.0:
renames slmgr on x64 aswell
Permenantly passes WGA
Works on unicode systems
user32 is restored
paintosinfo is not disabled
silent mode with /s switch
UI tweaked slightly
No reboot neccessary
IMPORTANT:
DOWNLOAD UPDATES BEFORE YOU RUN THE PATCH, AS SOME DO NOT INSTALL WITH THE PATCH INSTALLED. Should you find one which does not install, restore WAT, install it then remove it again.
This is a little tool I put together to remove WAT (Windows Activation Technologies) completely from the OS, whilst still retaining genuine status and receiving all updates (optional aswell). You can also pass the genuine check in things like Windows Defender.
There will be no windows activation section in control panel (thanks to nononsence)
no slmgr
no nags, no prompts, nothing. WAT gone.
IMPORTANT NOTES/INSTRUCTIONS IN ARCHIVE!

In theory this should have a 100% success rate on all machines.

TO INTEGRATE INTO DVD:
Make a directory structure like this on your DVD:
7files\sources\$OEM$\$$\SETUP\SCRIPTS\
and make a batch file inside the scripts folder called "SETUPCOMPLETE.CMD"
add these lines to setupcomplete.cmd
%~dp0RemoveWAT.exe /s
exit
and copy RemoveWAT into scripts

NOTE:
On some systems MGADIAG may report "Tampered Binary". This is nothing to worry about.

So no need to rush for it unless you run that of course..
;);)
Just run it on mine, seems to have worked, will know for sure in 12 days.
Will it screw up Service pack installations?
Author says that if you have a problem with any updates, then to put WAT back, update then re-remove it. Seems anything already installed should be okay?

Installed on mine - all appears to be ok.
Updated OP to 2.0
Guys - in future post links to files - dont just come here and say "its out"
Try to be a bit more helpful to the forum - thanks
I've been using a program called Chew-WGA for a few months now. Seems to have done the trick perfectly. Unless anyone knows a reason why it should'nt...?
I did have 20 days left on mine but ive run the WAT 2.0 and it all seems peachy :)
Ill post back gere if it goes belly up.
I have just installed windows 7 ultimate and used removewat 2.0 and everything is working fine for me. Happy days.:cool2:
Updated to 2.1

Is everyone elses still running OK? I've got RC build 7100 on mine and I ran RemoveWAT 2.2 on it last week. Everything has been fine until today when every few hours it bluescreens and tells me that my evaluation period has ended. Looks as though it hasn't removed all of the activation details.
Is anyone else that is running the same build having any issues??
Cheers
LOL. Oh the irony. I was just replying to this post saying i'd had a blue screen this morning and a couple of random shut downs but no indication as to why, then it bloody shut down on me again mid message !:thumbdown
I'm on RC7100 too.
Looks like it could be quite unstable. It may be worth starting a new thread for this issue in the Win 7 section.

The clue is in the title. RC = Release Candidate.
Get rid of it and use the RTM = Release To Manufacturers (7600). Then find Chew-WGA v0.9. Solved.
Problems solved. No need for a new thread. This has been well documented already.
Says everywhere, As of the beginning of March 2010, All RC versions WILL shutdown every 2 hours.
