co2/nutriants/fish for fish tank
Hi Guys,
I have started a planted aquarium and the plants are in desperate need of nutrients or something as they are changing colour; brown. The plants I have are to cover the bottom of the tank and they are getting eaten faster than they are growing.
I want these plants to grow super fast. I can move the fish into another tank to help regrowth.
Suggestions/advice please.

How deep is your substrate? I had similar problems until I increased the substrate to about two to three inches. You can buy plant food specifically for aquarium plants I think but I've never needed it. There has been enough nutrients in the tank anyway.

And if you want plant food I can highly recommend http://www.aquariumplantfood.co.uk/ I have been keeping fish for 18 odd years and doing planted tanks for about 5 now. Experience of low and high tech so any advice feel free to ask :)

Then you need to feed them and provide enough light. Not all plants grow quickly either. Need to be careful you don't go too far and just encourage algae!
What plants do you have? What do you feed them? How long are your lights on for?
Re: co2/nutriants/fish for fish tank
LED lights 9-5, feed them nothing? Lol
