Identify know about that particular model but our acer has a button to disable the touch screen.
Have you pressed a button by mistake?
googled and this comes up.
Follow these steps to enable or disable the touch screen:
- Right click on the Start menu.
- Select Control Panel.
- Tap Pen and Input Devices in the Control Panel.
- Tap the Touch tab.
- Select Use your finger as an input device to enable the touch screen. Clear the box to disable the touch screen.
I'm not sure but in device manager does the touch interface appear? May be called a digitiser. Has the laptop been dropped or otherwise damaged?
The laptop works fine, never been damaged, I dont have a Pen application on Control Panel?
Could someone take a look via Anydesk?
Are you running Windows 10 by any chance? Just saw an AIO where the screen was going crazy, it was registering mouse clicks constantly down a vertical line. The machine is 14 months old and the issue seemed to coincide with a Windows update, the user didn't ever use touchscreen so I disabled it in device manager and it fixed it. I know this isn't the same issue as you but I wonder if there is an issue with touchscreens on an update.
