Hi
think my laser is on its way out, so need some advice, have searched the forum and know that i need to check what laser it is etc and most likely to find one on ebay but need some advice on fitting it?
is any soldering etc involved? or is it a case of just poping out a ribbon cable and attaching new laser unit in?

I'd try a POT tweak first. Took me 10 mins and all is working well now. The 360 would read games as DVDs and now reads games fine. Even better now they've released the new dash which puts less stress on the laser if you install to HD
