I recently had a Sony V910 laptop stolen, when it was returned someone has created a BIOS password. I had taken measures when building it to encrypt the HDD with Safeboot, it contains some sensitive data which I need to retrieve.
Anyone have any ideas how to remove or override it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

can you not take the disk out and bung it into another laptop?
if not have you tried contacting sony as they should be able to help.

good luck mate, what sony is it again? checked their site out for info and no 910 anywhere.. is it a new one?
