Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
Agree with most of your 'bad' points. All in all enjoyed it. 7/10 for me
Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
I agree with what you're saying. I found this one VERY 'Disneyfied' and merchandise ready.
Thin plot line and disappointing.
An average 5/10 for me

Pretty much same for me , yet my son who is 12 thought it was 8/10. Probably says it all
Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
does george lucas still own all merchandise rights to stars wars stuff? he made a shrewd move there.
Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
Does this still really float peoples boats???
Don't think I have watched the last 2 or 3 movies. Episode 1 finished it for me. That cunt Ja Ja Binx was the nail in the coffin.
Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
Like a lot of people on the forums, I grew up with Star Wars. I understand that Disney have to move on and introduce new elements and characters but don't throw the baby out with the bath water. I wasn't a massive fan of The Force Awakens but you tell Abrams had respect for the characters from the original trilogy. I'm not even sure Rian Johnson has seen the original trilogy. He had one of the most iconic characters in film history and absolutely wasted him. He made him in to Mr Miyagi.
Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
Not seen it yet but hearing conflicting reviews. The press/media are saying its the best Star Wars movie ever, but now its released the public reviews are not so good. Emperors new clothes, springs to mind...
Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
Just a heads up, I noticed the bluray rips are out today in the usual places for those interested.

Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
I loved the Last Jedi. I really liked the few new things they did.
Now I say this as, (what I would describe myself as), a mega-fan. So I really really really like Star Wars, but I'm just short of being a die-hard fan.
Now if I was a die-hard fan, then I reckon I would have disliked the film, because it moved away from a lot of the stuff that was established in the original trilogy. I reckon this distinction partly explains the conflicting reviews.
I also liked the prequels. :) (Please don't shoot :))
Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
watched it, but wasn't over impressed with the ending
