No, they will be classed as two different games and look in different locations for saves. You will have to get him PES08 again. If you can't find it on NG's, just tell me and i'll request it on abgx360.
If you need the original let me know, mine couldnt trade in because the disk was too "well used" so happy to send it off, its no use to me anymore.
Better yet, be a good dad and get him FIFA 09 ;)
