PC+CM+XB Network Setup

Could someone please explain to me how I should setup the following items so I can have internat access from PC and a link from the XBox to PC without changing the cable round each time:

D-Link 5 port hub
X-box
PC with ethernet card (win2k)
Cable modem (ethernet out)

I have standard ethernet and crossover cables. I have ripped two games from xbox to pc already but I have to change the cable to go back on the net so I bought a hub. The current setup is:

PC > Hub port 1
XBOX > Hub port 2
Cable modem > hub Link port

I have internet access from PC but the xbox says 'No Link!'
