psx broke , who repairs them ???

I have a 9002 psx that won't spindle up , the power light comes on , the cover closed switch is ok ...any ideas? , Is there anyone who repairs them , manchester area preferable

$ony would probably still replace if you remove any trace of it being modified.

Could just be a new laser is needed.

You could try some of the guys down at Bowlers Computer Fair at Trafford Park for a new laser or something.

Well in my area couriers pick up and replace with reconditioned units each week. They currently are doing about 1000 returns per week.

This has always been the case with $ony they know their lasers are shite so even out of guarantee period they will still collect and replace (possible small fee if out of warranty date).

Just make sure your PS2 has a valid warranty sticker on it. If modified, I'd suggest removing mod first then replacing sticker.

I keep meaning to ask my m8 for the phone number to arrange the above, as I know about 3 people who's PS2 won't read any discs now!
