I would suggest minimum 2GB RAM and at least 2GHz dual core processor 8GB Stroge due to the increasing requirements Android builds

I'd also ignore any with old versions of Android as it looks like Kodi 17 may not work. https://youtu.be/PLHEVUGzFZc

You don't need android on most of these old box's you can just flash libreelec to them and it runs a lot better anyway

is this just a case of creating a bootable usb and sticking it in the box?

no mate it's you stick some files on a sad card boot the box with he tooth pick method and it will install it to the nand

head ad over to the libreelec forums you'll find all the info you want as well as regular updates

always best to have it booting from sd card first to make sure everything works before flashing to the nand

    Thanks to fanni

There's a guy on the Genie TV facebook page named David Lockley. He has his own website selling genuine boxes and many rate him. I haven't bought anything from him yet as I bought the firestick and then firebox before looking into things. To be fair I haven't had much issue with them since I had my 100mb VM line installed but I'm definitely going to buy a box from him once my Iview subs expire in July 17.
