Im sure that Sky sat IPTV sub streams originate from Cardshare technology at some point in the chain, so you may want to look to Cable CS

No they don't otherwise they wouldn't have HD streams!

Although I take that back it could be a Virmin cardshare via IPTV! [emoji6]

Seems as tho TCM channel has gone now too - unless that one was one of the original ones - I wasn't really paying attention! [emoji23]

Freeview in my new flat is horrendous, I've even tried a new aerial, but the signal is pointless. Breaks up every few seconds.

Had looked into IPTV, but feels it's a strain on providers the more users they get.

Had Sky before, but didn't bring it with me due to inflated prices - still have the dish.

Assistance hugely appreciated. ZGemma or HD1200? Nearest to Sky usability would be nice, but not necessary. Something missus friendly though.

Edison Mini os - has bluetooth, wifi built in. Supported officially by Vix.
Zgemma h2s - It's cheaper but essentially does the same without the wifi or bluetooth.

Personally I would hold off, is the flat wired for cable? Sky card sharing may be coming to an end soon as they've knocked out a transponder already. Look at a cable box if you can, cable has HD channels too.

As for the Sky look and feel there is a skin called Slyk which looks the same with slight differences.

    Thanks to beerman

I used to have the Eurovox 7000HD+ but gave up with it when things switched to N3. I was under the impression Cable was a no go and has been for a long while.
Why would the DBox2 coming out the cupboard be worth it? Not even sure I still have it TBH. I reckon you're probably referring to the SAT versions?

It works the same way as other cs boxes mate . Few twitches to commando image and it will breath again.
But not HD zegemma works a treat .

Dbox2 in theory would let you stream... Its only a m3u playlist with streams in right? Might not be too quick to change channels and no EPG. They were Linux boxes you could customise quite a lot if I knew what I were doing. Be hilarious if they made a comeback!

Im not digging up the patio to find out tho...

Dbox 2 can be used for cable cs. Has been in use for many moons - infact the dbox 2 can actually be used to run cable without cs......This has been the case for several years. Infact I would guestimate that this has been the case since the encryption changed from so called nagra 2 to nagra 3. The big difference was that when N2 or whatever we referred to it by ended then the majority went underground when the majority of the people altering code and making the previous system "work" realized that 1. eople only ever leech 2. Give someone something for nothing and they will call you a hero - When the box/channel goes blank they will be at you 24/7 demanding you "fix it". 3. People went to prison for posting tutorials and also for allowing the content to be on a site that they owned (hacking advisory service)........I could probably list many other quite valid reasons why n3 was/is never discussed. But yes the dbox2 was/is more than capable of running n3 either on cs or "other" ways.

Sorry to dig up an old thread...

I'm moving house in a few weeks and all options are on the table VM, BT and a sky dish. Would it be worth me buying a zgemma and trying to get IPTV working on that? What type of box should i be looking for. I flogged my dbox years ago!

    Thanks

    I'd suggest this
    https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F253194136116

2 + 16gb. More than ample for iptv. Then stick perfect player or gse app. Or iptv app of your choice
