They are almost upon us and will no doubt be available over the weekend in the usual places.
This comes after someone had posted a rogue one screener had been delivered to them for consideration.

Don't get it. You buy yourself a 4k TV, get yourself some nice surround sound, home cinema speakers, then put on a shitty SD screener with watermarks all over it.

I don't have a 4K tv or surround sound and I barely watch tv anymore.
So to sum up free movies with subtitles or watermark meh I don't care it's free

Would never watch this shit quality bollox. It ruins anything you attempt to watch !
always makes the movie that bit more exciting for me, knowing its a screener :-)
love em, quality not important

As long as its not a cam or cam audio i'll watch it
yep if its under 20 gigs its not worth watching, I prefer full Blu-ray M2ts, but will settle for 10+ gig rips,
its much better to wait for a bluray source than watch the low quality of pre releases,
like I say to my mate who whatches stuff from showbox, would you watch it on a black and white tv, NO so why watch low quality films ?

You lot are miserable bastards.
if you don't want to watch a screener fine! So why are you posting just to moan about the quality?

Are we not getting a bit ahead of ourselves? I would have thought that screeners these days wouldn't be submitted to reviewers in shit low qual format. I haven't owned a DVD player for many moons and don't know anyone who does barring a console. Why not wait and see and then make a judgement?
Doesn't really spoil movies if you've spent time watching hundreds of films with watermarks, cam rips, and so on and so forth.
There aren't really any amazing movies to really watch either, and if you want the best quality for your home cinema you can already afford to buy the films.
Most of these perfectionist forget that image quality doesn't matter on screens below 55" as most users either watch the films on their laptops or standard sized monitors on their desktops. Where downloading a ~700mb DvD rip of a film still be acceptable to the small screen sizes, and resolutions.
You can buy yourself a 4K Monitor for you computer, but unless its +55" you lose the point of the increased resolution completely.

Hive-CM8's batch releases last time around were surprising good quality. Obviously not Bluray, but decent enough.
Also, I went to Curry's the other day armed with a DVD original copy of Star Wars Episode 1 that looks fine on my 50" 1080p TV. Ok, not again, not Bluray, but looked ok.
Tried it on a 4K TV that tried to upscale it and it was horrendous.
Once you upgrade your TV you get spoilt and can no longer enjoy the lower quality stuff. Simple as that.

Depends on the film I guess - I have a 4k hdr oled tv and will still grab some of these if they are quality films that I can watch way earlier than proper release - bit like a taster, I can have a watch if they are decent then I will get in 4k/uhd and watch again
I went to see Star Wars today at the imax and it was awesome but the amount of cunts sat around me coughing and crunching down on food was almost unbearable
Arrival I particularly want to see and if they put that up will be all over it
Also as above the screeners are normally not 'too bad' and much better quality than the cam versions etc

EVO not Hive-CM8 either.
Recent shit copy of Assassins Creed is the only Hive-CM8 I've seen so far.

i think there was a decent copy of Reacher available around the end of october start of november
I haven't seen any copies of Jack Reacher about until this HD Rip one. The best one before was a HDTS.
As for the quality of downloaded movies, I'm perfectly happy with a dvdrip up to 720p for any-old-movie for the missus and I on a weeknight but I will search/wait for a min 1080p if it's something I really want to see, especially most SciFi. Actually I'm not so patiently waiting for Arrival and Passengers to appear somewhere.
I don't bother downloading anything these days anyway, just stream it straight off my newsgroup provider via a Kodi plugin.
As for Hive-CM8, wasn't their last release Alice through the looking glass in October ?
cheers,
malty
