Seen it on Friday at imax, and I thought it was a pile of shite
Very disjointed and camerawork predicable
And if there was I plot I missed it .

Was too much nostalgia/flashbacks and the plot was out of benny hill all running around chasing each other, they start filming T3 this month so hopefully now all the nostalgia is covered they get down to a decent story ;-)
There are some funny bits and some nice parts to the film I prob give it 6/10
Not seen it but it's not the story from the book 'Porno' so fuck knows where they are
goong with this now.
Didnt rate the first one so I won't be falling over myself to see this, more so from hearing what ppl have said.

Loved the first so in 2 minds if I should watch this or leave my happy memory alone.
Yeah credits say it is created from the books Trainspotting and Porno but I have read both and the story must have been very loosely related.
Is the next one going to be loosely related to Marabou Stork Nightmares where Rentons now in a coma?
Just started reading Reheated Cabbage.. First 2 stories are great

I actually quite enjoyed T2 - went last Friday to one of the early showings and it was really busy which surprised me for that time of day.
It was definitely more lighthearted than the original and I liked seeing them all back - I'll go and watch the 3rd one.
Trainspotting is quite dear to me as a movie, I read the book first and fell in love with that and then saw the movie and fell in love with that for entirely different reasons.
We went to see this today and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was really well acted written and shot imho, The train aspects in the last half hour with the train running past the pub windows was great, for scene setting, emotion setting and pure cinematography.
I thought Carlyle in particular was really convincing and Spud and his story was very compelling. Renton was great and I'm delighted they didn't bow at all to his superstar status, instead giving the biggest story to Spud.
Sick Boy disappointed a bit but only because the rest of the cast were so good. Musically it wasn't as groundbreaking but the chords coming in now and then from Born Slippy had me in goosebumps over and over, as they alwayss do.
I honestly didn't want them to make this, I thought they should have left well enough alone but I truthfully am delighted to have seen this.

I like the bits where they are talking but really they are talking to the viewers for instance "Why are you here? Nostalgia...that's why you're here…a tourist in your own youth"
I also enjoyed it, especially the updated 'Choose Life' monologue for our modern Facefuck, Twatter age
"You have reached the end of you free trial membership at BenjaminFranklinQuotes.com"
-Benjamin Franklin
The funniest but was when the announcer Sayed " thank you for choosing amc imax ". Without a hint of irony .
I don't think it was shoehorned in at all. It would have been easy for them to put it into a running sequence like the original. I think it was well updated by the writers, built well throughout it and well executed by Ewan.
