    Default Business accounts

    Hi All

I know if i wanted to purchase company records on a firm i could go through companieshouse.gov.uk. But if i am looking to get historical information on an American firm, do you guys know of the correct process to obtain this information? I have googled and gone through a good few US search sites but they cannot find the firm, can anyone please advise?

    Thank you

    Adam

Companies in the USA are registered by state and each state has a separate website.

This will help you (if the state is listed).

    Thanks to JonEp

In some states you don't have to file public accounts and depends on the type of company, you may be able to order an international credit report but again the reporting agency has no special rights to accounts not in the public domain either.

You could request a free trial and report with http://www2.creditsafeuk.com/risk-ma...redit-reports/ (but just a heads up, they with plague the telephone number you given them for months later in sales calls, better to use a throwaway sim card number! )
