Honestly once you start zelda nothing else will matter it's the best game I've ever played.

I was about 20 hours in on the wiiu then went and bought the switch and started again and still loving it about 30 hours in now and loving it

Mine has just this minute arrived, I bought Zelda and 1-2-Switch this morning (so I could play something with the missus). I'm just going through the initial setup and update and then we'll have a go

    Cheers,

    Malty

Is there a noticeable difference on the switch?

I have now finished Zelda and am quite sad it is done - I have the expansion pack bought tho so hoping for some decent dlc to come.

It actually only took me under 95 hours to complete with all shrines and did all of the side quests etc I came across - could possibly go back and farm to upgrade armour etc but think I pretty much have done all I want to do on it now.

Back to pc for Dark Souls 3 DLC and PS4 for Persona 5

Not massive if I'm honest less frame rate drops though which has just been made even better with the update.

another good game to try is sniper clips with the kids can be played 4 player as well I got it free when buying the red and Blue controllers

    Thanks to fanni

OK, very early impressions. I really like the hardware. I was worried I wouldn't get on with the little controllers as I have big hands but they feel pretty comfortable. I can see how they will make two great, if a little dinky, gamepads and providing the little wrist strap bar things in the box is a nice touch.

The sound is good in handheld mode, another worry I had and screen resolution is good enough without being great.

It feels like a nice bit of kit in the hand.

I do seem to have some issues with it connecting to my TV though, it seems to connect fine sometimes and not others, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I thought it was supposed to be all but seamless ?

Zelda plays good, I'm right in thinking it's not the sort of game I would usually go for but before the battery died on me, I just completed a shrine near the start and even though the puzzles were (probably intentionally) really straightforward, I really enjoyed it in a way that I haven't since playing Sphinx and the cursed mummy many many moons ago on Xbox - which honestly is possibly the last adventure type game I completed !!

The battery didn't last long from what was in it out of the packaging so it's now on charge (I think) although I don't seem to be getting any notification from the dock or console that it's on charge and the console hasn't popped up on the tv. I probably need to have a read of the documentation to learn how it's all supposed to work - oh and I've had to reconnect it to my wifi twice although this was either side of a system update so I'll forgive it unless it becomes an issue.

Looking forward to getting my teeth into it !

read some people were having problems with the Wifi but solved it by using a 5G connection rather than 2G on the router
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

Just bought and played an hour of FastRMX. Great game, feels fast and slick and works really well. Anyone else got it ?

Still enjoying Fast RMX, plays great, looks great. I'm having a hard time getting into Zelda. It's fun when I find a puzzle etc to do but the rest is a bit wishy washy to me. I think it's just not suited to me.

On a plus note though, I bought Mr Shifty. That's a brilliant game and have played it all afternoon today. Well worth the £10 or whatever it is.

Has anyone played the lego game ? That looks really good but seems to be out of stock anywhere that doesn't charge £50 for it.

Few weeks on for me now and I caned Lego City on a flight to Florida - I'm really enjoying that.

I also picked up Mario Kart which is great and even more so as it's handheld.

Still can't properly get into Zelda, I really don't think it's for me !

It took me a good few hours to get in to Zelda but I'm glad I stuck with it, it's an awesome game.

I know I'm massively in the minority but I don't get Zelda, in fact if I knew anyone else with a switch I'd offer it to them.

Tempted o get a switch despite my early reservations everyone who I know who has one loves it. Might wait a few months to see how many of the third party games come out on it and how they play.

How are you guys now the novelty period has worn off?

I set up the dock in the living room and played 1-2 switch and zelda a couple of times but I'm finding I am almost always using it in tablet mode as the pick up and play quick session fits my lifestyle much better than hogging the family TV. I hope there's an extensive range of the back catalogue of GC to WiiU games released on the virtual console as I have quite a few classics I started and never finished for the same reason.

I have only used it in handheld mode, in fact I've never even disconnected the controllers from the main unit.

I'm using the dock only as a charging dock.

I saw Isaac came out on the 3DS but it's one of the few games that is exclusive to the 'new' 3DS. I could get the PC one, but it would end up the same place at the other 1.5tb of PC games I've downloaded in the last 12months.

The physical release comes with a f'king old skool style manual!
