    Default Phantom 4 Pro+...

....well I only went and ordered a Phantom 4 Pro+ last night. :/

Quite nervous about the whole thing but looking forward to learning and getting some decent video footage. I'm no more than an hour or so from lots of decent out in the country areas so hopefully be able to shoot some nice footage (I'm now going to have to learn how to do video processing eek).

After much thought, I decided to go for the Pro+ which comes with the controller that has the built in screen (which I know is Android based).

I know I could have gone down the iPad route with a cheaper controller but the thought of giving Apple money was not on my agenda (I'm not a fan of Apple), but 3rd party Android devices are known to be troublesome as opposed to the dedicated unit built onto the controller.

Besides, if I decide at some point, I'd prefer to go down the "controller + separate screen" route, I can always buy the relevant controller and device and then sell the other controller.

Was looking to take my 4 Pro to Marmaris this year, but i think recent aviation rules means I could prob take it out but would not be allowed to bring it back.

They are fantastic machines to fly, but once you feel pretty confident flying in P mode, get to a big open field and start learning to fly without the gps aid, this will be scary at first but could save your machine if it suddenly drops GPS and you need to take manual control, nothing worse then seeing £1400+ of machine come crashing to the ground.

    Thanks to consoles

Yeah I intend to learn to fly in all modes as need to be competent in getting it out of sticky situations. I'm gonna get DJI Refresh so yeah if something does happen, I'm covered anyway.

I love my Mavic, I have had a Phantom FC40 and a Yuneec Q500 and always wanted something more portable. The Mavic is an amazing piece of kit that I can just grab quickly in it's little bag and off I pop.
