    True,
I was lucky enough to be invited on a Barista Course that also included (what felt like) hours of history, origin, first routes, how the different countries still drink thier coffee etc.
We tasted burnt coffee (with boilng water) as well as a coffee made with water not hot enough. Massive difference.

maltloaf, not sure if this was a reply to my post.
For the sake of a 4 euro peculator (over £20 here UK) and real coffee (not any capsule) ground or whole at £6 per 500grms, one twist open, coffee in, stove top and done. The machines are more expensive and restrict your range, experience. In terms of operation, a nespresso etc are more quicker, same amount of steps I'd say, but its not real coffee. Then, if trying a stove top you are properly into coffee, maybe invest in a more robust and decent machine, but not these capsule gadgets.
