Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn will face questions from a live studio audience for the first time in the election campaign on Sky News on Monday 29 May.
The Conservative leader and the Labour leader will be interviewed during the joint Sky News and Channel 4 programme May v Corbyn Live: The Battle For Number 10 - starting at 8.30pm.
The 90-minute show, to be broadcast from Sky's west London studios, will open with one of the leaders facing an audience Q&A hosted by Sky News Political Editor Faisal Islam. They will then be interviewed by former BBC Newsnight presenter Jeremy Paxman.
The second half of the programme will follow the same format with the other party leader.
The programme will be four days before the BBC broadcasts Mrs May and Mr Corbyn facing audience questions in Question Time specials presented by David Dimbleby on 2 June.
Sky News has also announced that on election night Adam Boulton and Sophy Ridge will co-host Vote 2017 from 9pm - with Boulton at the election hub at Sky's studios in Osterley crunching the latest results and Ridge on Abingdon Green in Westminster.

Kay Burley will be with Theresa May in her Maidenhead constituency, Colin Brazier will be in north London following Jeremy Corbyn, Anna Botting in the Lake District with Liberal Democrats leader Tim Farron, Niall Paterson in Glasgow with the SNP, Gillian Joseph with UKIP, and Paul Kelso with the Green Party in Brighton.
Professor Michael Thrasher, Sky News' election expert, will be analysing all the results as they come in. Dermot Murnaghan will present Sky's coverage the following day as the story continues to develop from Westminster.
The broadcasters' exit poll, carried out by Ipsos MORI and GfK for Sky News, the BBC and ITV News, will offer the first snapshot of the results at 10pm before the results come in throughout the evening and into the following day.
Using the Sky News team and contributors across the UK, Sky News will be live from an unprecedented 300 constituencies, allowing the channel to be live in more party target seats than ever before.
John Ryley, Head of Sky News, said: "Sky News will offer their customers the most comprehensive coverage out there both during the rest of the campaign to the drama of election night.
"Whatever the results, Sky News promises to bring you the latest news first with immediate analysis from Sky News experts and guests with accuracy, flair and a healthy dose of fun."

Political Correspondent Lewis Goodall will be on the road with the #LewisLorry and visiting 30 key seats across the UK and talk to voters on the ground.
Sky News will also broadcast four short films in the week ahead of the election which will combine to make a special one-hour programme presented by Sky News specialists.
Paul Kelso will look at the crisis in the NHS, Adam Parsons will look at the world of work, Lisa Holland will focus on social mobility, and Sam Kiley will examine Britain's place in the world.
As well as TV, Sky News for mobile will offer a wide range of tools to dig deep into the election results. Users will be able to check results in real time and find out the state of each party's wins and losses.
A live blog will run from 8pm right through election night, giving viewers snap results and analysis from Sky News teams from across the country. Notifications will bring all the key results to apps as they happen.
During the campaign, the Sky News website is offering leader profiles, analysis from Professor Thrasher, Sky Views, opinion pieces from the editorial team and interactive articles - all in addition to the latest news from the campaign.
Sky News will also be creating more content specifically for social media than ever before - directly engaging with audiences across social media platforms.
This includes a daily Vote 2017 Facebook Live every day at 1pm until 8 June. The series is hosted by Sky News political experts from different locations across the UK, and tackles major election issues.
It is a way for audiences to directly engage with the Sky News team and ask the questions on their minds ahead of the General Election. All 300 live declarations will also feature across social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
The Sky News social media team will also be capturing the night in virtual reality for the Sky VR app and will be promoting the 360-degree experience across all social platforms.

I can't help but think after Corbyn's crowded show in Leeds today, his track record of winning elections of one sort or another and these random punters placing thousands of pounds on Labour that May may feel the expected all out win might not be so clear cut.

    Thanks to JonEp

I think some nutter would shoot him 1st such is the level of hype/hysteria surrounding Corbyn the man....never mind the super popular policies. {Kevin Keegan rant voice on}/I'd LOVE IT IF WE BEAT THEM...JUST LOVE IT !!!{rant voice off}/ lol.
I am living in Canterbury at the moment and TBH they have actually never ever voted anything other than conservative since records/voting began. The current guy has been mp here for 30 years. Labour and Lib dems just cancel each other out....if both sets of voters voted for a single candidate they would piss it, If the non voters of Canterbury all voted for a single candidate then that candidate would also piss it...such is the voter apathy down here. But im afraid there are PLENTY of locals who will walk over broken glass to vote conservative - people here just do not like "state" and don't really believe in socialism.....well the one's that vote dont anyway. The local facebook group (usually a super helpful place for recommendations of where to go/see/eat whatever and lost pets and even lost kids lol.....well it has turned into a political hotbed...many people very unhappy with Julian Brazier (The local tory) - he openly tells constituents that he doe not get involved with local issues....we are a city with 40k students during term time and growing...yet our local hospital has already lost it's A&E and the hospital itself will be gone if conservatives win the GE - no exageration it will deffo be gone and the whole population of the city which had enjoyed a fully equipped hospital for decades will now have to travel 15 mile + for emergency treatment. This guy just don't givea toss and doesn't get involved, Also considering the type of city this is (AKA touristy and huge student population ect) - His voting record is - Anti Gay marriage, Against equal rights for gay couples, Ardent pro fox hunting supporter and voted against the ban and campaigns for it's return........THAT'S MY effing MP ffs....the man couldn't be further away from what I believe but not only that his views couldn't be further away from what the vocal local population claim is their views......But they will still vote him in lol
Anyway back to the our local FB group - it seems there is a core of conservatives that just constantly post anti corbyn stuff. If it's not anti corbyn then it's magic money tree, How we gonna pay for it ? You point out that conservatives have spent much more than labour ever and you get "Labour's fault coz of the banks innit !!". Don't get me wrong lol the pro corbyn support in that page (10,000+ members) do outnumber the anti corbyn BUT I can tell from experience that they young pro corbyn support will just not bother to go out and vote...or even register for that matter, same for the 40k students who could swing this seat easily...they just don't bother. The conservatives are excellent past masters at mobilising their vote it is the ONE thing they actually are really good at.

Will be interesting to see how the moderator treats both May and Corbyn. I seem to recall Milliband being given a much harder time than Cameron back in 2015.

Cameron did get a proper roasting at the referendum one though....but that was more the audience than the moderator.

That is a good silver lining in all of this madness that I do keep forgetting.....Cameron and Osborne are gone

Gutted to hear you have lost your local A&E, we did too for a whole year, the community never let go of the hope and sheer determination to have it reinstated. Camping outside the hospital 24/7, protests and demos both at home and at the Houses of Parliament and though I have never voted for him (but will do next month as a result of his actions), the local MP turned up every Saturday for a whole year outside the hospital and did what he could behind the curtains. This collectively helped to ensure it reopened but for how long who knows... there have been leaked documents from the trust to suggest they have does this as a stop gap with a plan to close not just A&E but the hospital itself.

    Thanks to JonEp

Been done mate. Very active local group. Marched at HOP same as your locals.....Saved the critical care but a+e is gone. But now the are looking again at critical care.....It is a long term goal to close it - Land to build on in this city is super expensive so "they" have been after selling it off to developers for the last 20 years or more. But yes everyone apart from our conservative mp has joined the fight.....Funny thing is the other parties candidates (Labour + Libs) have kept a presence in the group attended rallies and marches ect ect ect......But as I said they split the vote at elections lol, Just think same party has represented this constituency for over 130 years and yet he/they treat the area with contempt imho.

Milliband and all of the other party leaders definitely had a harder time than Cameron in the 2015 TV debates because (just like May) Cameron said he would not get involved in the TV debates at all. No doubt afraid of going off script, just look at May in public for a shining example of a robot or a non-thinking zombie.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

She really is a shit speaker imho and Corbyn could run rings round her but in Sky's circus that wont be allowed to happen.
The "presenter" will talk over him twist his words and carefully choose his questions in favour of Theresa.

Not to mention the whole not so subtle body language of nodding away at the conservatives and questioning everything else.
