The trailer looked pretty decent, will be interesting to see how it goes.

You've also got the Orville out which is Seth MacFarlane's take on Star Trek.

    Thanks to reverend

You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

It looks awesome in Dolby Vision on Netflix, they have a show on afterwards called After Trek which is like the Talking Dead although it's a bit shit basically.

I read something saying it cost CBS something like $7-8 million per episode to make although Netflix are paying them $5-6 million for the international broadcast rights.

Managed about five minutes and turned it off. I'm not the best judge though, as I hate most sci-fi tv. The writing is usually so lazy and this is no exception. A total lack of imagination when it comes to future technologies and how we, as a species, will evolve over the next couple of centuries. They might as well call it what it is, age old human stories told with a few cgi bits, blokes with four hours worth of prosthetics and make up and everyone wearing the same clothes. Its certainly not sci-fi as I understand it, more a soap opera based in a very poorly imagined future.

Watched both episodes and thought they were a fantastic modern take on the series, looking forward to the next one on Sunday.

watched the 1st one last night (was going to watch the 2nd but Mrs was having none of it)
I thought it was OK but nothing great, weird that I was fine with the technology depicted and most of the characters but having a woman named Michael was annoying the fuck out of me

Watched 1 and 2 last night. Nothing ground breaking but lots of action, which will probably keep me coming back for more. It has a better treky feel to it than 'Enterprise' ever did but will need to go along way to beat TNG, DS9 and Voyager.

I liked it. First proper Trek in 12 years.

OK it's not the 90s trek that I know and love....but tv has changed since then.

And yes, definitely a hint of Westworld!
