Thought I would try phoning up the practise late yesterday to see if results were in but my practise in particular is fucking awful.

Yes I was met by Nazi receptionists who are apparently more qualified than the doctors. They said it is their policy to ask a few questions now (which it has been for about 6 months) to further help my call.

After I asked if they signed the Hippocratic Oath... she quickly said my results aren't back try Monday. pmsl

Stupid bitch. Why are ALL doctors receptionist acting like they have done 8 year at Harvard right now ???

They are fucking cocks. Had a few issues with ours. When questioned why I wanted an appointment in a packed surgery I said I wanted a referral for a cock reduction as carrying it round was a bind and difficult. I did this very loudly after saying I would rather not discuss the reason in an open waiting room.

an xray is followed by a written report. it is the written report that takes days sometimes weeks to type up. takes the piss I know

if it was serious you would be called asap imo.

were you seen by a consultant at the hospital? if so chase them up. but I guess this was just a gp referral.

also the gp admin staff are plonkers. they have it drilled into them to ask when your test was done and then it's always a week.

I can tell you we report pathology reports within 24 hours on the routine stuff. x rays shouldn't be more than 4 days and much sooner on serious stuff.

did u have bloods done? ask for those. did u get any tumour marker blood tests done at the same.time?

waiting is the worst thing in the nhs.

Had x-ray and bloods done initially by GP but said I would be referred to hospital depending on results etc
Honestly cant remember what he said the blood tests were for but they took a decent amount of test tubes or whatever you call them lol

Feeling surprisingly positive really, not sure why. I suppose as I never smoked chances should be slim but I am not naïve enough to believe it is not possible, I just think my odds are better than someone who smoked 20 a day.
Also although I tried to avoid googling I succumbed and it looks like worse case scenario should be good odds and the GP said symptoms have been caught early.

Anyhoo its been tough to give it much thought as I am still waiting for the Mrs to drop the bloody baby, so not got anytime for myself anyway pmsl

you hear horror stories but chances are more than likely it not being the dreaded C.

Cough for over 3 months now and yes a bit of blood but really not a lot imho ( although what is a lot )
Also blood seems to have stopped now. Just still coughing. Any way find out soon enough.

Looking good. Results show its unlikely to be anything sinister. There is some slight issue that showed up that they want me to have a repeat scan for but he seems to think it is caused by infection.

I should really have asked more questions but as the baby came today I was knackered and a bit numb lol

As usual our Nazi receptionists told me my heart has come back as normal. I was like wtf are you talking about, got call back from doctor who at least knew what he was talking about.

Anyway feeling positive. Thanks for all the comments guys.
