bought a popup tent from amazon the other day...you know one of those ones where you have to be a bloody kung yu yoga master to fold the fucker back in to the bag

Anyway it arrives from amazon in a box at least 4 times the size of it and I shit you not there must have been about 20metres of crumpled up padding paper in along with it

So bloody wasteful it's unreal. Not the first package from amazon I've received like this either

Take a photo and report it to Amazon, there is a drop down for inappropriate packaging. Its only by reporting this shit they will change their practices.

Uk is a nation of complainers, the OP is true, I have had packages from amazon that are OTT. talk about chopping down trees.

Sounds like they have some way to go but they have improved no end, I used to buy memory cards and you wouldn't believe the packaging they came in! I thought there was a website where people post the pictures of Amazon packaging but can't seem to find it right now.

I think it's a pretty legitimate complaint. It's all gone in the recycling bin but that's not the point. It was a tent already in a padded bag...there was simply no need for to to be in a massive box with all that paper. It's wastage pure and simple.

yeah i've ordered an SD card before from Amazon and it came in a box that would have fitted a pair of king kongs trainers
