Almost always use cclonline.com
Have always had great deals and CS. Hardly any issues but when the odd one has happened they have been great.
Edit:
This is a good punt for the money. My personal preference but have worked in this industry for over 20 years now and I will no longer touch AMD for CPU's and try and avoid for GPU's too.
Overheating issues and after fixing hundreds of PC's I can see they do not last anywhere near as long as Intel. Intel all the way for me.
You will save a good few quid getting AMD but I think these days it is false economy . Just my 2p.

To be fair flypitcher you will get more help if you post some requirements and or a price range.
e.g. Does he want to play Minecraft or Fallout 4 ??
Do you want to spend £500 or £3k ??
No disrespect meant but it is a wide open field. Been through same with my older kids. Good luck.
You could also get the young un to help build it ... save yourself some money, build it over a few months to spread the cost and build his confidence. I bet he would love it .
Look at "barebone kits" .
Just to add to piggzy's great points, if you haven't got an unlimited budget, it's probably worth paying a lot of thought into whether this is a one off purchase, or whether it will be gradually upgraded.

Thanks for the advice.
Okay budget 1k and I asked him what he likes playing cs go and player's unknown battlegrounds
Not sure about upgrading.
Thanks in advance.

Those seem some good prices! I want a gaming PC for my lad for this Xmas, i will check them out closer to the date - ta.
Are they ok though, they say they will install W10/7 etc, but then comments that they will install a genuine version for low income families, so i guess the ones on the other versions are non-genuine
Those seem to be based on 1st Gen i5/i7.
I got a couple of used 3rd gen Dell i5's for about £150 (needed to check for a few days until I found them at that price). Spend the remaining money on SSD, Graphics, RAM and you have a much superior system although it's now a "boring" Dell rather than something in a fancy "gamers" case with a load of LEDs and coloured panels.
BTW, I only used Dell as an example I got a couple of used Dells not too long ago. Probably same for any big brand.
The one big snag is that often Dell supply PSU's that might not be up for powering a serious GFX card and to make life fun they sometimes use a non standard PSU so it's hard to upgrade with a regular one, but I thought I would offer the idea as food for thought.

Whack a grand into the price range doobrey wotsit and buy what comes out. You can fiddle a bit of course, but if you're not too fussed, what they charge for a grand will be good enough.
Even better call either of their sales teams and tell em what you've told us. Both have great, friendly customer service peeps and will make good recommendations.
