    Default Extending my wifi

    Hey fellas
    After a bit of advice
I have a vermin super hub 2 which is running fine but the kids are noticing black spots in the house now they are getting older.
The setup is currently wired to the hub
    Plex server
    Xbox one
    Cable box
    Cable to home plug upstairs

Upstairs I have the cable into a switch that also goes into another cable box and Xbox one.
I have a wifi extender in my hallway upstairs that extends the 2g but the 5g isn't as strong as I would like.

Should I just replace the wifi extender with one that does the 5g too or would I be better running a second router as an access point upstairs with the 2g&5g.

If this is the case any recommendations for what kit would work best??

    Cheers

Do you have a lot of wireless congestion? If not then 2g has better penetration so wouldn't worry about 5g so much.have you looked at the mesh network kits? I haven't tried one myself but reading good things about them, even the BT system. I hope to try one soon whether it be BT or another one.

I took a punt on a couple of wireless extenders from Aliexpress.
Shit looking shoddy pieces of plastic and for about £10 delivered I didn't expect much but they actually did the job.

Main downside is the EU plug so when you plug into a UK convertor it sticks out a sore mile !!!

This is an example of a mesh kit, bit pricey if all you need is a hotspot but apparently these are much better. STUDY10 should get you 10% off too.

get that vermin running on bridge mode and buy a few ubiquity AP's. They are slightly pricey, but well worth the money.
