    Info sat nav recommendations

I'm currently on the hunt for a really good sat nav, I work as a delivery driver for Parcel Force and need a decent one, I have 2 Garmin nuvi's at the moment, the 760t and the 1340, both are very slow and that maps are not that accurate, quite often, it will try to send me to the wrong location,

Things I would like it to do if possible is.....

    Have accurate maps,
Have clear maps that are easy to read, if find the garmin maps a bit plain and everything sort of fades into everything else, i like to see all the little side roads and back roads while on my route.
Search for location by company name, for example "Lynden Foods" or "Donnelly Group" (would be very helpful)
route optimization (if possible) for best route from point A to point B to point C..... (you get the drift) MySmartRoute from the play store does this very well but i need to use 2 devices when i would rather use one.

I'm not asking too much from a sat nav am a I?

    Hi
You could always just take the parcel back to the depot and say the customer wasnt there, without going anywhere near the place like the other drivers do, then make the fragile stickers unreadable with massive dirty boot prints on them as you jump on them in the back of the van to reach other parcels :-)
I use a Tomtom go 610 which tells you most of the things you ask for, I visit hospitals and i can normally get away with just using voice to say the name of the hospital, may not be as good for small company names.
also can tell when you are going to get there - taking into consideration live traffic (lifetime subscription inc).
You can plan your route with all the via's on it on the pc app before you leave then upload it to the go 610.
    hope that helps

The voice command would be a good option to have but using a laptop to do the route before i set off isn't really an option for me as i am quite time restricted in that aspect, would be much better for me to do it out on my route, I'll have a look at the tom tom and see what is like, I've been looking into the snooper Pro s6800, it does the route optimization but the maps themselves don't look that hot

I thought the courier would supply you with one as well as track your location etc! Are you self employed and contracting or employed by them?

I'm not sure if it does everything you have asked but I like Waze for long journeys as it routes around traffic, shows speed cams etc and all for free.

    Thanks to evilsatan

I use a smart app that works not just on post codes but actual house numbers and registered names.
It runs on Windows phone but maybe its also on other flavours

    GPS Navigation by Melon

    Google it

It has google maps as well as 2 others
