Hello All,

Title is "Mature Newbie" sounds a bit like some-thing on a dating site entry.... Oh well this is me! Retired and loving it, still interested in almost everything except religion and politics, have seen too much rubbish spouted by both. Otherwise I'm fixer Dad i.e. it goes wrong and I fix it.

My history is in Telecom's. My past times include Computers, NAS, Electronics, DIY, TV, and reading Sci-fi. But mainly doing what the wife tasks me to do! All be it later that she would like, so as to assert my manly independence.

Found this forum as was looking around at YOUVIEW TV boxes as just acquired a box with faulty HDD, and looking for tips etc.

I'm "ever the optimist" in spite of the all the news.

Well that's my potted introduction, but like most people it's really only a small glimpse of the real me, bye for now.
