Todays the day... I haven't bothered the past few but this one seems to be a shake up of the usual design going by the leaks.

New Apple watch - now number one watch in the world having overtaken Rolex (I imagine this must be on revenue rather than units).
It will warn when it detects elevated heart rate and you don't appear to be active.
Apple Heart Study will be used to analyse data to detect arrhythmia.
Series 3 has cellular built in, allows you to go anywhere with just the watch and will use the same number as your iPhone.
Will be able to stream music from the watch to airpods from Apple Music.
Dual-core processor, up to 70% more performance.
    Digital sim is integrated.
    Swimproof, all day battery life.
$329 without cellular, $399 cellular, series 1 dropping to $249.
Will be released on EE with a special deal, orders Sept 15th, released 22nd.

AppleTV is getting 4k, that's about all and they managed to make a whole segment about it... the chip is the same as the iPad Pro so pretty powerful!

Phone remains locked until you look at it (Face ID), uses IR camera amongst other sensors to operate, will work with glasses, hats, beards etc. Can't be spoofed by photos (unlike the Samsung phones have been reported to)
On the demo he failed to unlock his phone... had to switch to backup

Haha presenter's curse that was just like windows blue screening on Bill Gates.

I don't think the 8 (plus) is enough of a jump to upgrade from my 7 plus.
Wireless charging would be nice but other than that it's a meh from me.

I'm not sure about the iPhone X yet. I'm glad the pre orders aren't live for a little while as it'll give me a bit of thinking time. The screen is nice there's no question but is it **that** nice ? I'm not sure...

£999 for 64 GB and £1149 for 256GB is pushing it a bit and I'm a fan so the haters will have a field day with that.

I am probably more interested in the Series 3 watch with built in cellular. I'm a bit disappointed it's only on EE in the UK though - It's a bit of a bump price wise. 42mm with cellular starts at £429 but the cellular is a big draw for me if enough of the apps work well.

I might well bite on a S3 cellular watch when pre orders open.

I am tempted by the watch, if I decide I will get a bit fitter then it will be a deffo. I still have my iP6 as the 6s/7 didn't excite me whatsoever so will go for the X this time round as it will be my company that pays for it and I resisted long enough!!

Anyone seen any info how the s3 watch tariffs will work on EE ? I presume it'll be some kind of new combined iphone/watch tariff ?

That may swing it either way for me as I will not be paying a massive amount for a combined contract.

I'd heard the X was going to be a grand, but was hoping against it. My 6 is running ok at the moment but I love shiny new stuff! I really can't justify £999 on a phone, its stupendous.
And the watch being EE only at the start is a turn off for me too, I would have sold my series 2 and got one if it was open to all networks.
    All in all underwhelming.

I did read somewhere that the AT&T network was an extra $10 to add the watch

If I could have had the watch 3 working on a carrier of my choice then I might well have stayed on board. EE only is very restrictive. As it is I've bought a new unlocked s8+ from giffgaff for £620 and I'm going to see how I get on with that.

Might be a 7+ and a Watch series 2 on the market soon !

I jumped after iPhone 4 or 5 and I am so glad I did. I was a fucking sheep to their excellent marketing.
You can get a much better phone for a fraction of the price.

Wont touch them again on principal .

I've gone Apple to android and back again probably 4 times in total. I get frustrated by certain things in Android and end up going back to iOS as it works the way I like but I like the hardware on some android phones and keep trying to like the os.

I just hate being told what to do, which apple think is normal.
With an iPhone I feel like a teacher is shouting at me every time I try and do something on the phone.

No alt Os's on IPhone. A multitude of OS on android phones. Try one. Some are brilliant.

I still have my own personal opinions of Apple products and seeing as I'm not a 13 year old girl using Facetime, I'm happy to stick with Android.
The brand new iPhone S6 is not that much to rant about IMO.

I understand why the less educated prefer Apple products, so I refuse to judge.

I love my iPhone its like a fisher price phone!
theres a button to make calls and another to send iMessage and a button to make the internet thingy work.
    i can even take pictures.

But theres no way in hell im paying a grand for a phone.
I'm well happy with my 6s still and If my experiences with android wasn't so shit with early phones I would probably still be using one now.
when I had an android I even had a skin to make it look like iOS so what's the point?

im not interested in rooting or os upgrades etc, my phone does what I need it to and it was free with my contract.
Apple can stick the X where the sun doesn't shine though for that price.

The iwatch is far too expensive for my liking too. The missus has one and loves it but I prefer my pro trek watches over iwatch.
