Not me left em long time ago for that price increase

My mate told me he got the increase and told them to fck off
they quickly offered him a far better package to keep him.
Ill get what he got next time I speak to him.

Just so you know if you cant afford the price increase you can opt out and move to another supplier

I've seen some decent threads on AV Forums I think, or maybe it was MSE, but essentially how to work their retention.

They're right cheeky cunts, only a small % will quit or haggle, the rest will accept it and pay it, that's why they do it.

    Thanks to BigBrand

These days you get nowt from the primary retention team (well...some crappy £5 off maybe). You need to actually cancel your sub, end the call pleasantly....then the secondary retention team call you back the next day, and they're the ones with the real power

This just seems to be how many businesses run these days. If you are a new customer they will bend over backwards to win your custom but as soon as you've signed up they don't give a toss.

Couldn't agree more. Just a shame we done have the time to haggle all of your bills each time they're up.

Got a letter from them the other day mine is going up from £24 to £26, which is still a really good price i think, i have the 100mb bb which they are increasing to 200mbps later this year, line rental and anytime calls. it is allways worthwhile starting the cancellation process and 9 times out of 10 the next retention team will call you and you get the better discounts.

I have a very good mate who works for VM and I get a cracking deal - but while I get BT Sport which is ace, I get no UHD.

I get 214Mb DL but I don't really download much anymore

Withe the price rise I can now get Sky's 2TB box, all Sky Sports, & fast BB for less.

I might take the plunge, not yet decided.

If I ring retentions and they offer me free Sports and movies for 18 months I might stay, lol..

    Bilbo.

Were in the process of selling up so when we move I will be looking for a good deal, I do like the speeds on Vermin but the prices are a joke for what I use
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

I'm sure there are plenty of similar discussions over at SLY and there seems to be a regular ebb and flow of VM customers to SLY and then SLY Customers to VM with a significant portion of those being returning customers.

VM put prices up.... SLY put prices up.... VM put prices up.... SLY put prices up.

    Rinse and repeat.

    Thanks to dpSparhawk
