    Default Samsung S6 Battery Replacement

I've had my S6 for almost two years now, and don't feel the need to upgrade.

However, my battery is horrendous now, lasts 6-7 from a full charge. The phone has been well used, and often as a Sat Nav over those two years, so the battery is definitely end of life.

I've been looking at replacement battery which you can get for c£15, but I have none of the tools to replace it myself, so this would probably cost me £20 for the bits and bobs.

I've seen a replacement service online for £45 inc return delivery, from here:

    http://www.mobitech-sheffield.co.uk/...sheffield.html

Does anyone have any experience of using such services? I'd have a go myself, but just balancing DIY equipment buying vs £45 to just get it done.

    Any experience you guys have?

I got £170 from Cash Converters for my S6 - add that to your £45 you were going to spend and you can get a half decent spec phone new.

But no experience of changing the battery in the S6, mine lasted less than that by the end - but great phone.

Have changed a number of batteries, screens, cameras etc in mobiles and if it is not Apple it is a piece of piss mate. A fucking doddle. Tiny screw driver, some nice plastic prying tools and good eyes job done.
If you are half blind dont bother. Also as I have learned .... lay off the Sauvignon Blanc prior to repairs ..

Bought a new battery an the tools from Ebay for £7.

States it's a genuine Samsung S6 battery, suspected not, but for £6 thought I'd take the risk. Was piss easy to be fair, took me 20 minutes, just made sure the back cover was done over time and not rushed as I've seen the rear glass can easily crack.

Instructions recommended 9-12 hour charge with phone turned off, not sure how practical that is, been off for 5 hours so far, and I'm on a fast chargers!

Genuinely don't think it could get worse than my old battery, that went from 30% for 0% in around 10-15 mins, so we'll see how we go!

I was a bit late to this thread but I never buy batteries from eBay unless it's a reputable dealer. I use ReplaceBase for batteries, I am not affiliated with them at all but they sell OEM and non-OEM parts and the OEM batteries tend to be very cheap.

Well my battery deffo not genuine, it's shot already, drops from 30% to 5% in matter of minutes.

Will pick up one from above!

Just thought I would ask if you have had a screen replacement at any point?

Reason being I've changed a few screens and put in non OEM panels. They have always worked perfect but I also found these Chinese display panels would hammer my battery.

    Thanks to Over Carl
