This is only about half hour from me and taken my nephew for a couple of visits.
Great place to go and very nice shots!
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

they all look over processed for my liking, to the point were the monkeys look out of place, as if they have been photshopped in

    Over processed? in what respect?

The images were shot wide open on a 100-400L on an EOS 7D body. The EOS 7D tends to oversaturate on occasion even in RAW. The only processing that has been done is some subtle sharpening and noise reduction (Images shot at ISO500) as per the general requirements and a bit of desaturation on some. No other curves or levels have been pushed. IPS Screen is fully calibrated and to be honest, look fine on my screen, phone and tablet.

Anyone else feel they're over processed?

I'm asking purely for curiosity and my own benefit as often different screens produce different results and unfortunately, what the photographer sees on their screen is often not what is seen on others.

the background saturation looks unnatural, kind of like when you adjust the highlights/shadows etc in skys causing fringing on edges.

Hmm, I'm not seeing that I'll be honest. At best, the saturation was reduced. The only thing I can think of is I reduced warmth a touch on greens but other than that, the only adjustments are sharpening, Noise reduction and general desaturation / reduction in vibrancy.

    Strange. Anyone else?

I think it's the low DOF that makes things look unreal. I like it
