    Default New Phone Required

    Hey guys,

    Happy new year!

My Nexus 5x has the bootloop issue and I have not had the time to fix it yet.

I need to buy a new phone as a permanent backup until I fix it and/or not being so tight to buy a new phone.
    I detest paying ?400+ for a phone.

    What do you suggest?
I quite like the new Nokia but at ?400+, I might as well buy the Pixel 2.

    Thanks

How old's your N5x? My mates one suffered the same problem, new motherboard required. I checked and found it was still under the 2 year manufacturers warranty, but only just. Sent it back to CPW and they replaced the MB in under a week.

CPW seemed to "delay" the repair to push it outside of warranty.

I'm thinking: Nokia 9, Pixel 2 or Samsung Galaxy S9.

    Thoughts?

Pixel for the pure android feel. I have an original pixel xl 128gb and love it

Maybe worth trying LG direct, my missus nexus 5x had same issue and cpw initially advised they could assist but then couldn't as didn't deal with network anymore. They gave number for LG and it was just inside warranty. If your just outside it's worth a call see if they can do anything for you.
